HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Happy New Year, fortuknit friends!! I hope that you enjoyed your holidays and have taken some time to relax and refresh. For me, the New Year always brings a time of reflection. I’m not one for resolutions, but I like to take this time to reflect over past goals and set new goals. This year, I have a lot to reflect on and be thankful for—including you, my readers, my fortuknit friends, my supporters. I wanted to take this month’s blog as an opportunity to review the past year with you and look ahead at things to come.
A Year in Review
As you can see, so much has happened since we opened our online doors. But, one thing I’ve learned after reflecting on everything is that I, along with fortuknit, am a continuing work in progress (WIP). While knitters typically take this term to mean a project that is in progress, on the needles and on its way to being finished, I’m adopting this phrase this year as my motto. Everything is a WIP and an area for improvement. I have grown so much over the last year as a knitter and as a new business owner, and my plan is to continue soaking up as much as I can and pour back into that growth and become even better. I’m so excited for you to see my continued works in progress and grow along with you. Thank you in advance for your support and encouragement in the year to come. It’s been incredible sharing this experience with you.

VACATION NOTICE: Due to travel, all orders placed during the month of January will be taken care of in the order they were received beginning February 5th. There may be a delay in responses to messages. Our online shop will remain open, so please shop to your heart's content.
Branded Merchandise (fulfilled by Printful): Have you checked out our new, custom merchandise? These are items you can buy to rock some fortuknit-branded swag and show support for your favorite online knit shop. T-shirts and hoodies are currently on back order and will be back in stock later this month (check back for those). Please see our updates Shipping & Returns page for delivery times on custom merchandise items fulfilled by Printful.
Gift Cards: Gift cards are now available for purchase ($25-100) in the online shop. Not sure what to get for a loved one? Get them a knit of good fortune with a gift card. Let them decide what they want from our shop or they can place a custom order.
Gift Options at Checkout: New at checkout is the option to let us know that your order is a gift. Pricing information will not be included. Just be sure to put the recipient’s shipping address in when you checkout. Want to tell them something special? Leave a gift message in the text box and we’ll make sure they get your note.
Shipping Costs: As you know, shipping costs are increasing worldwide. As such, we’ve had to raise our flat rate shipping fee to $9.00 (previously $8.00) to cover shipping. Orders over $75.00 still ship free.
New Home Page: Looking for our Home page? It’s moved. We made the shop our home page so that you can get to the items you love with ease. All the information that was previously in our home page can now be found on our About Us page. And you can contact us any time from our Contact page. We always love to get your feedback and help us improve our continuing Work in Progress.
